Terms of Service

1. Service Description and Eligibility

Hexys is a pornography recovery application that provides streak tracking, an encrypted journal, an AI recovery coach (Arcos), a panic hub, a content blocker, and an anonymous community with recovery pods. The Service is available as a mobile application for iOS and Android and through the website at hexys.app.

Age Requirement: Hexys is exclusively for users aged 18 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We verify age at onboarding through date of birth verification. Users who do not meet the minimum age requirement will be blocked from creating an account.

2. Subscription Plans

Hexys offers two tiers:

• Free Tier: includes streak tracking, encrypted journal, the panic hub, and 5 Arcos AI coach messages per day.
• Core Plan ($9.99/month or $59.99/year): includes unlimited Arcos messages, the anonymous community, recovery pods of 5, accountability partners, and the full educational content library.

Core subscriptions are auto-renewing. Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

3. User Content and Community Rules

You retain ownership of all content you create within Hexys, including journal entries, community posts, and pod messages. By posting content in the community or pods, you grant Hexys a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content to other users within the context of the Service.

Community Rules: The following content is prohibited in community posts and pod messages:

• Illegal content of any kind
• Identifying information about others (real names, photos, contact information)
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any detection results in immediate account termination and a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
• Explicit sexual content, pornographic imagery, or links to adult content
• Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of other users
• Spam or commercial solicitation

4. Content Moderation

All community posts are subject to AI pre-publish review. Posts that are flagged by AI moderation are held for human review before being published. Posts that contain potential crisis indicators (such as self-harm or suicidal ideation) trigger crisis detection, and the user is provided with relevant crisis resources including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Rules. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Share your account credentials with any other person
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service through automated means
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access controls
• Use the Service for any purpose other than personal pornography recovery
• Impersonate another user or create multiple accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service

6. Intellectual Property

Hexys and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by Hexys and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Hexys name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Hexys.

You retain all rights to content you create within the app. Journal entries, which are encrypted on your device, remain your sole property. Community posts you create remain your intellectual property, with a license granted to Hexys to display them within the Service as described in Section 3.

7. Disclaimers

Hexys is not a medical device, therapy service, or mental health treatment. The Service provides educational content and self-directed recovery tools grounded in neuroscience research. Arcos (the AI coach) does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline or your local emergency services.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hexys and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) your use of or inability to use the Service; (ii) any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; (iii) any content posted through the Service by other users; or (iv) any other matter relating to the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
